Before I was saved, I was passionate about traveling to other countries and doing volunteer work, whether it was in an orphanage, on the farm, or construction, I loved being part of a team of compassionate people working to help others. After I gave my life to Christ Jesus, I went on my first mission trip and realized this is exactly what God created me for. And I realized that truly helping others means sharing the gospel as well, it's not just about the physical support. Our world is spiritually destitute, and hungry for healing and love, which can only be offered through Jesus.

 

​I love wearing my pearls and being in my art studio but when God calls me to be out in rough raw places, covered in dirt and sweat, witnessing pain and poverty, I'm ready for that, to offer my hands for healing and helping in Jesus mighty name. I have the heart of a missionary, but I believe all who truly follow Jesus do as well. Circumstances may not support everyone to go to foreign countries and jungles, but the great commission will still be accomplished because God will use us where we are at.

 

​"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.'” Mark 16: 15 - 18​

 

We are helpless until we truly BELIEVE. Jesus said that in HIS name signs will accompany the believers. The more people that receive and believe the gospel, the more healing and freedom we will see on earth. Please pray for our missionaries and if God puts it on your heart or someone close to you to get involved with missions, the best thing to do is encourage and support them no matter how far they are being called. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5​
